Held in October, 2019, the inaugural Junior 6’s Invitational was hailed as a resounding success from all in attendance.

With distinguished media outlets, and organizations, such as Australian Golf Digest, PGA Tour of Australasia, Golf Australia, Golf NSW, Jack Newton Junior Golf, The Leader and Macquarie Radio all covering the tournament, the publicity generated was globally significant.

The major reason for this event’s immediate success was the exciting pathways offered to participants, hence attracting the strongest field in Australian junior golf.

With opportunities set to expand in 2020, as well as a unique twist to the format, the Adidas Golf Junior 6’s Invitational ‘Race to Cronulla’ will see the best amateur golfers, 18 and under, male and female, from around the globe competing against one another – a world-first in amateur golf.

Once again in 2020, we welcome the continued support from the PGA Tour of Australasia and Golf NSW in their backing of the next generation of golf stars. We are also grateful to be supported by Golf Genius Software to allow the tournament series to grow in just its second year.

QUALIFYING SERIES/RACE TO CRONULLA

With the expansion of the 2020 Junior 6’s Invitational, a Qualifying Series has been established and will run throughout the year prior to the Junior 6’s Invitational National Final at Cronulla Golf Club in Sydney’s south.

This qualifying series will consist of 4 tournaments – three in NSW and one in Queensland.

The Junior 6’s Qualifying Series Queensland event will be held at Emerald Lakes Golf Club, with the 6’s Matchplay played under lights – another world-first initiative in amateur golf.

Each qualifying series event will be played over 18 holes strokeplay, with the Top 4 players moving onto 6’s Matchplay.
